New job, new office...

Day four at Harper's Bazaar, and a whirlwind of ideas, emails, phone calls, appointments, meetings, and the pleasure of being part of a team. My new office is filled with the scent of beautiful flowers from very sweet people, and a glorious bunch of silver balloons sent by Stella McCartney, which reminds me of Diana Vreeland... ('Why don't you tie an enormous bunch of silver balloons on the foot of your child's bed on Christmas Eve?'). Thank you Stella, thank you everyone... and here's to future flights of imagination.

Wishing you every happiness in your new position, Justine. It looks like 2012 is turning out to be a very special year for you. On another note, partly inspired by your review, I travelled from Manchester with my daughter to visit the ball gown exhibition at the V&A. It was stunning, we had a marvellous time. Looking forward to reading more of your beautiful writing.

Thank you all very much for your kindness, encouragement and support. As some of you may already know, magazine production works way in advance, so my first issue will be January 2013, out in early December -- but being worked on now...

I am especially excited now I've realized Harpers Bazaar UK can be downloaded to my iPad. I may need a subscription! Very much enjoyed your piece on your Chanel wedding gown, Justine, and looking forward to more...

I spotted you in a magazine the other day, recommending... was it trousers? I forget, but it was fun to see you there. Good luck with everything!
